Most of the time I’ve been kept occupied by all of my school work. Senior design project, VLSI, and microprocessors have me spending a great amount of time in the lab. Kind of scary thinking that this is the last year of school for me after so many years of being in school. At the moment, I don’t plan in jumping into grad school, I want to work for awhile and decide on what direction I want to take. The only problem right now is that I haven’t been as productive as I should in the job hunt.

Aside from the academic work, I’ve been trying to make this senior year more memorable by spending more time with friends and picking up some new learning experiences.

This is going to be a busy week with an exam and lab due. Next week will be Thanksgiving break, I don’t have anything planned for those few days yet.

My motive for the previous post was that out of all of the choices that I’ve made, the same things are always apparent in my mind. I continue to focus on my regrets.

I’ll admit that I’m much more of a pessimist than an optimist. My rationale for the subtle negativity is to prevent myself in walking into a situation blindly. I want to be able to account for all possible outcomes that an event can present. The naive optimist can fall. However, there is one factor that I use to neglect, life’s uncertainty principle. I guess everything is uncertain until we go for it.

Most people’s regrets come from the struggles between our reality versus our dreams and what we choose to strive for.
Reality: what we don’t have and have.
Dreams: what we want, but can’t possibly achieve.

Many people would advise to live your life with no regrets, but I question if the majority of the population can live to that standard.

When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
-Alexander Graham Bell

I regret that I can’t finish this thought completely for the time being. I’ll edit it later.
